Your “Personal Bill of Rights” is a statement made by you listing what you believe to be YOUR PERSONAL rights. For example; I have the right to say “no” to requests or demands I can’t meet. I have the right to express all of MY feelings, positive or negative. I have the right to change MY mind. I have the right to make mistakes and not have to be perfect.

Many women have gone through life totally unaware of their fundamental rights as a human being. Others have endured significant restrictions through no fault of their own. Perhaps they are in a toxic relationship or experiencing sexual or domestic violence.

The “Personal Bill of Rights” program is simple, but it works.  It can be life-changing. Please share this page and this campaign. Empower yourself and inspire others to do the same.

Why? What’s it all about?

On July 09 1848, five women sat around a table and shared a pot of tea in Seneca Falls, NY State to discuss the lack of rights for female citizens of the United States. Ten days later they held the first Women’s Rights Convention in the Western world. The women created a Bill of Rights (the Declaration of Sentiments) that included a famous quote from the US Declaration of Independence. Only they added two powerful words.

More than 60 people signed the Declaration of Sentiments, but it was condemned by others including local newspaper The Oneida Whig which read “The most shocking and unnatural event ever recorded in the history of Womanity!”

At great personal risk, the women continued to fight for their rights. And, they prevailed.

Please take the Superwoman Video Challenge and help us celebrate Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Lucretia Mott, Jane Hunt, Martha Wright & Mary Ann McClintock; the five women who started it all!

Yes, we have come a long way baby… but we are not there yet. Statistics confirm that today in the US alone, 7.5 women will be raped and 1.2 people will commit suicide every 15 minutes.

“I Am a Superwoman” is pushing for a shift in culture and leadership to recognize the powerful mentality of individual accountability and personal responsibility. We must recalibrate our mindset and focus on long term prevention through education and positive change so we can nurture and curate the next generation of leaders.

This is the logical step forward from the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements. It’s not a Partisan issue. It’s a Human issue.

Funds raised from “I Am a Superwoman” will go to organizations including SHEROESunited.org. SHEROES United is a Global Movement of Women Who DARE to Change the World through Love. The nonprofit works tirelessly in the trenches helping victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking and has been operating for seven years. SHEROES United has collaborated with national and world leaders including being invited by African leaders and clergy to work with women refugees from Congo at the Vatican in Rome to help them overcome the dark shame of rape and violence. SHEROES provides education, training, mentoring, and leadership opportunities in addition to running prevention and redemption programs for women in prison and high-risk youth. The 501c3 works to create awareness programs ad curriculum to educate and empower victims and help them become victors over their trauma.
